Edgewood Hall of Honor
The Edgewood ISD Hall of Honor will be a prestigious group of former students, staff, or supporters of Edgewood ISD. The idea of the Hall of Honor began at one of the homecoming events in recent years. The thought was to honor some of the influential people that have supported Edgewood ISD over the years. Many Edgewood supporters, staff, and former students have led active lives with brilliant and influential careers. We hope that you will take the time to think about some of these people and nominate them to be considered for the Hall of Honor. The first inductees will be honored during Homecoming festivities of 2008.
The Selection Committee will be made up of four to five members whose identity is only known by the liaison. These members are in place and will select ten honorees the first year and four or five each year thereafter. These people have been sworn to secrecy.
All nominations are to come through the superintendent’s office, where they will then be gathered by a liaison for the Selection Committee. This liaison will not be part of the Selection Committee. No one from Edgewood ISD will know or give any input to the Selection Committee.
The nominations can be hand delivered to the Superintendent’s office in a sealed envelope with the label Honor Nominee. You may also mail the nomination to: Edgewood ISD, Honor Nominee, Superintendent’s Office, PO Box 6, Edgewood, TX 75117. Each nomination mailed to Edgewood ISD should have on the envelope in the address portion, HONOR NOMINEE. All envelopes will remain sealed until opened by the Selection Committee. The deadline for 2008 nominations will be July 31, 2008.
